Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to patients in an acute care setting
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support nurses and interdisciplinary team with patient care tasks and transfers
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility charting procedures
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Communicate respectfully with patients and families to address needs and concerns
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (state required) — active and in good standing
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Prior experience in acute care or hospital setting is a plus
- Ability to pass facility-required background and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills in patient care and activities of daily living
- Comfort with taking vital signs and recognizing changes in patient condition
- Basic charting and documentation skills; attention to detail
- Understanding of infection control and safety best practices
- Teamwork and collaboration within fast-paced clinical environments
