Roles & Responsibilities

Assist clinical staff with patient intake and vital sign collection in a kind, child-friendly manner
Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked for smooth clinic flow
Support clinicians during procedures and help keep young patients calm and comfortable
Document patient information accurately in the charting system and maintain confidentiality
Coordinate patient check-out, follow-up appointments, and routine communications with families
Participate in orientation and team huddles to continuously improve patient care

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain during orientation
Comfort working with pediatric patients and their families
Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-centered approach
Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Certificate or diploma as a Medical Assistant preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with basic clinical tasks: vitals, rooming patients, and assisting providers
Patient-focused bedside manner, especially with children and caregivers
Basic computer skills for scheduling and electronic health record documentation
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow clinical protocols and maintain a safe, clean workspace
