Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on Med/Surg units with pediatric focus
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing interventions to promote patient recovery
Monitor and document patient status, changes, and responses to treatments accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, effective care plans
Administer medications and IV therapies safely, following facility policies
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans to support positive outcomes
Participate in orientation and precepting to help onboard new team members

Qualifications

Current RN licensure in Missouri or Compact RN license eligible
Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; PALS or pediatric certifications preferred
Experience or strong interest in Med/Surg nursing with pediatric patient exposure
Comfortable working in fast-paced clinical settings with strong assessment skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; dependable and patient-focused

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid Med/Surg nursing knowledge with pediatric care considerations
Clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Patient and family education techniques
Ability to document clearly and accurately in clinical records
Team collaboration and time management in a busy unit
