Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor and record resident conditions and vital signs, reporting meaningful changes to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Assist with meal service and feeding as needed, observing dietary needs and preferences
• Follow infection control practices and facility policies to protect residents and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Document care provided accurately and timely in resident records

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (required) — must be eligible to work in Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Able to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Comfortable with hands-on patient care and physical tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and current CNA credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant practices and resident care principles
• Skilled in safe transfer and positioning techniques
• Familiarity with infection control and hygiene standards
• Strong observational skills and ability to report changes in condition
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
