Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient observations accurately
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and personal care while promoting dignity
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies consistently
• Support a positive patient and family experience through respectful, patient-centered care
• Participate in team huddles and collaborate with colleagues to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification - active or eligible in Pennsylvania
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred; new CNAs welcome to apply
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or assistance provided to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by the facility
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work an 8-hour shift
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completed CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and ADL support
• Accurate measurement and documentation of vital signs
• Infection control and standard safety practices
• Familiarity with basic charting and electronic health records
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
