Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and write timely, accurate treatment plans and documentation.
• Design and implement therapeutic interventions to improve strength, range of motion, fine-motor coordination, and daily living skills.
• Teach adaptive techniques and train patients and families on adaptive equipment, transfers, energy conservation, and safety.
• Conduct home assessments and provide recommendations for environmental modifications and adaptive equipment.
• Administer sensorimotor integration and visual perceptual-motor remediation programs for neurological patients.
• Deliver prevocational programming and prosthetic device training to help patients return to meaningful roles and routines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and consult with community agencies, schools, and long-term care providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Current WA State Occupational Therapist license required (or in process of obtaining)
• One year of experience preferred; new grads are welcome and encouraged to apply
• Ability to maintain timely and accurate patient records and complete mandatory education on schedule
• Professional communication skills and ability to represent the organization in the community
• Reliable attendance and adherence to departmental dress and identification policies

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluations, therapeutic exercises, ADL training and individualized treatment planning
• Documentation best practices and regulatory compliance (timely, accurate charting)
• Adaptive equipment recommendations, splinting, and home assessment techniques
• Experience with orthopedic, neurologic, cardiac, and balance disorders
• Ability to interpret professional journals, technical procedures and communicate findings clearly
• Mathematical and reasoning skills to apply clinical measures, percentages and practical problem solving
