Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver age-specific, direct patient care using sound clinical judgment
• Assess patients and implement the Nursing Process to drive excellent outcomes
• Lead and delegate tasks to nursing team members to maintain safe staffing
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal healthcare regulations
• Follow department and specialty-specific standards of patient care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate timely, effective care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and handoffs during night shifts

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice (state licensure required)
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications prior to contract start date
• PALS or ENPC required (active prior to start) — if not active, a booked course at clinical orientation is acceptable
• Experience in Emergency Department (ED) settings preferred
• Demonstrated leadership and delegation skills in clinical practice
• Familiarity with specialty-specific standards of patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Direct patient care and strong clinical assessment skills
• Proficient use of the Nursing Process to plan and evaluate care
• Leadership and delegation to coordinate team-based care
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing healthcare
• Comfort working nights and adapting to varied ED shift demands
• Pediatric emergency care familiarity a plus
