Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to clinic patients within scope of LPN licensure, making each patient encounter count.
- Serve as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers to ensure smooth, coordinated care.
- Take and interpret vital signs, perform patient triage, and prioritize care needs effectively.
- Manage medication refills and complete prior authorizations to keep patients on track with their treatments.
- Direct and support CNAs and Schedulers, ensuring delegated tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with providers, coordinators, clinical managers, and RNs to meet patient and clinic goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow state and federal licensure continuing education requirements.
Qualifications
- Current Montana LPN license in good standing (required).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma or equivalent).
- Experience with vital signs, triage, medication management/refills, and prior authorizations.
- Comfort supervising CNAs and working as a patient/clinician liaison; strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work occasional weekends as clinic needs dictate.
Education
- Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN diploma or equivalent).
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical nursing fundamentals and patient assessment skills.
- Patient triage and prioritization.
- Medication management and prescription refill workflows.
- Prior authorization processes and documentation.
- Delegation and supervision of support staff (CNAs, Schedulers).
- Effective communication and interdisciplinary teamwork.
