Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Emergency Department with confidence and compassion
• Perform rapid triage, assessments, and interventions for a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely, document thoroughly, and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and next steps in a clear, reassuring manner
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies and standards
• Support a positive, team-first environment that keeps patient safety and experience at the center of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (NH license or Nurse Licensure Compact eligibility recommended)
• Minimum ED experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical training may be considered
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Proven ability to perform under pressure, prioritize care, and think critically in fast-paced settings
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Current immunizations and ability to pass facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency nursing principles with trauma and acute care familiarity
• Medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care skills
• Proficient charting and documentation practices (electronic health record experience a plus)
• Ability to interpret vital signs, EKGs, and lab results to inform rapid decisions
• Excellent situational awareness, multitasking, and delegation skills
