Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg unit
Assess patients thoroughly and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and document appropriately
Monitor patient status and intervene promptly for changes in condition
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
Provide clear education and support to patients and families
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
Participate in unit quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active RN license in New Hampshire or eligible for state licensure
Experience or training in medical/surgical nursing
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications a plus
Comfortable working 12.5-hour clinical shifts
Strong communication, clinical judgment and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid patient assessment and clinical monitoring skills
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Familiarity with Med/Surg patient care needs including post-operative care
Good documentation practices and use of electronic health records
Ability to prioritize, multitask and respond to urgent situations
Collaborative approach to working with nurses, physicians and support staff
