Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the Cost Accounting system to drive accurate service line profitability analysis and P&L reporting.
• Publish monthly service line and physician practice P&Ls and scorecards that inform strategic decisions.
• Oversee Decision Support tools and produce analytics for major strategic and financial planning projects.
• Review and validate feasibility studies and financial models built in STRATA, ensuring ROI, NPV and IRR calculations are sound.
• Support implementation and ongoing maintenance of the STRATA rolling forecast module and related forecasting activities.
• Prepare and deliver reports required by rating agencies (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA) and support external audit requirements.
• Train managers and directors on productivity and decision support tools; manage ad hoc reporting requests.
• Provide oversight on software implementations (ERP components, leasing software) and mentor the decision support supervisor and special projects analyst.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting and/or decision support (required).
• Hands-on experience with STRATA financial software or comparable systems (required).
• Healthcare experience in hospital finance or clinical operations (required).
• Master Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration (preferred).
• Financial and/or healthcare certifications (preferred).
• Experience with hospital/healthcare contracting, bundled payments, and physician reimbursement (preferred).

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• Master Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Cost accounting and service line profitability analysis
• Budgeting, P&L reporting and financial forecasting
• STRATA system expertise and rolling forecast maintenance
• Financial feasibility modeling (ROI, NPV, IRR) and capital project evaluation
• Experience preparing reports for rating agencies and audits
• Familiarity with ERP components and leasing software implementations
• Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills
• Ability to train and mentor finance staff and translate analytics for operational leadership
