Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging exams using X-ray and fluoroscopy, including C-arm and OR imaging, ensuring high-quality image acquisition
• Follow Imaging Department and Radiologist protocols to deliver safe, accurate studies
• Practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA standards at all times
• Verify orders, confirm patient identity with two identifiers, and provide clear procedure education and informed consent documentation
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation, including charging for procedures and supplies
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service calls when necessary
• Support department workflow by assisting with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when requested
• Train and cross-train imaging staff, and obtain additional certifications or training as required
• Manage inventory by ordering, stocking, and maintaining supplies to ensure smooth operations
• Contribute to quality improvement, regulatory compliance, infection control, and a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 if position requires driving) and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Successful completion of background check, pre-employment drug screen, and Employee Health meeting prior to starting
• Preferred: prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist and cross-training in CT, MRI, DEXA, or Mammography
• Preferred experience with PACS, RIS, and HIS electronic record systems

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program; ARRT (R) registration required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in diagnostic imaging and image acquisition techniques
• Skilled in X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm operation, and OR imaging workflows
• Strong EHR documentation and charging practices
• Knowledgeable about infection control, regulatory compliance, and radiation safety (ALARA)
• Ability to troubleshoot imaging equipment and coordinate maintenance
• Excellent patient communication, education, and informed consent practices
• Comfortable assisting across modalities and supporting clerical duties when needed
