Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations of the outpatient imaging department to meet financial, quality, and operational goals.
• Supervise and mentor Lead and Senior Technologists and provide indirect oversight for technical staff, fostering a patient-centered culture.
• Ensure image quality control and enforce departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in staffing management to meet budget and productivity targets, including using progressive discipline when appropriate.
• Promote staff development and satisfaction through coaching, training, and performance evaluation.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and assure implementation of Joint Commission, ACR, Title 17 and Title 22 requirements.
• Act as a clinical and operational resource to nursing, clerical staff, service engineers, physicians, patients and families to resolve issues and coordinate care.
• Maintain clinical competencies and perform or assist with diagnostic imaging procedures and patient education as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 5 years experience as a working Diagnostic Technologist in an acute-care setting.
• Minimum: 2 years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting.
• Desired: 3–5 years prior supervisory/managerial experience.
• Associate Degree required.
• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the CA Department of Health Services OR current ARRT license.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Desired: Certification in a specialized area from a recognized certifying agency (CRT, NMTBC, MRI, etc.).
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities; ability to monitor and allocate resources effectively.
