Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts; exact start/end times and specific days vary and will be provided by the facility (12-hour schedule, may include day and night rotations)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
Continuously monitor, assess, and document patient status and respond rapidly to changes
Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced interventions according to protocols
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to implement patient-centered care plans
Lead and participate in rapid response and code situations with confidence and clarity
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans with empathy
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to safety and infection control standards

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
ICU experience or critical care training (experience in an ICU setting preferred)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications or willingness to obtain upon hire
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and prioritization skills
Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and adapting to unit needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care patient assessment and monitoring
Ventilator management and respiratory support knowledge
Telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring
Medication administration and IV therapy expertise
Electronic medical record documentation
Rapid response and emergent situation management
