Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients in the PACU
Assess and monitor patient status, including vital signs and pain levels
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate closely with anesthesia, surgical teams, and families for seamless care
Document patient care, observations and handoffs clearly in the medical record
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain best practices

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (able to practice in MA)
Experience or interest in PACU and pediatric patient care
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; PALS encouraged
Comfortable working in fast-paced perioperative/post-anesthesia settings
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with surgical teams

Knowledge & Skills

Post-anesthesia assessment and monitoring for pediatric patients
Pain management and safe medication administration
Familiarity with perioperative processes and PACU workflows
Accurate clinical documentation and patient handoff skills
Compassionate family-centered care and patient advocacy
