Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered direct care in an acute care environment
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Follow infection control practices and maintain a safe, clean patient environment
• Support safe patient transfers and positioning using appropriate body mechanics
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to promote quality care
• Document care delivered and observations accurately and professionally

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; ability to practice in Hawaii preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working in an acute care setting and following clinical protocols
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to varying per diem schedules

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and safety procedures in acute care
• Skill with patient transfers, ambulation support, and use of assistive devices
• Ability to observe and report changes in patient status accurately
• Familiarity with infection prevention and proper hand hygiene
• Competence in documenting care and following care plans
