Roles & Responsibilities

• Greet and triage patients with professionalism and a warm bedside manner
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
• Assist clinicians with exams and minor procedures, ensuring patient comfort
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies to meet standards
• Update and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic chart
• Support infection control practices and maintain a safe clinical environment
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to deliver high-quality care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification required or must obtain upon hire
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred
• Previous ambulatory or clinic experience is a plus but not always required
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility immunization requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant program completion preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in taking accurate vitals and obtaining patient histories
• Comfortable assisting with basic clinical procedures and specimen collection
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and basic medical terminology
• Good time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Compassionate patient education and clear communication skills
