Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients while following facility protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the patient record
- Monitor patient condition and report changes to RN or provider promptly
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure smooth transitions
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up instructions
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and uphold patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license (practical nurse) — ability to practice in Georgia preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Prior experience as an LPN in a hospital or long-term care setting is a plus
- Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first attitude
Education
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (diploma or certificate)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic wound care, IV site observation, and vital sign monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
- Infection control procedures and patient safety standards
- Time management and organization in a fast-paced clinical environment
