Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled occupational therapy evaluations and evidence-based interventions to support patient function and independence
• Develop individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals and adjust them as patients progress
• Train patients and caregivers in activities of daily living (ADLs), adaptive techniques, and use of assistive devices
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and on time
• Provide patient- and family-centered education to promote safety and long-term outcomes
• Participate in team meetings and communicate changes in patient status promptly

Qualifications

• Clinical experience in occupational therapy (contract and travel experience a plus)
• Active or eligible for California occupational therapy licensure
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain
• Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment planning skills
• Comfortable documenting in electronic medical records and meeting regulatory standards

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent from an accredited program)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in occupational therapy evaluation and treatment across the continuum of care
• Skilled in ADL training, adaptive equipment assessment, and home safety recommendations
• Strong therapeutic handling and activity-based intervention techniques
• Clear written and verbal communication for multidisciplinary collaboration
• Familiarity with documentation standards, regulatory requirements, and HIPAA best practices
