Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to walk-in clinic patients following established standards and practices
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and clinic staff to ensure clear communication and coordinated care
Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly to inform clinical decision-making
Triage patient calls to determine urgency and direct patients to the appropriate level of care
Manage prescription refill requests and coordinate with providers to ensure continuity of medication therapy
Complete prior authorizations and related paperwork to facilitate timely access to treatments
Give direction and guidance to CNAs and Schedulers to support smooth clinic operations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including providers, coordinators, clinical managers/supervisors, and RNs

Qualifications

Current State LPN license (must be active and in good standing)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Ability to work within scope of licensure and follow state/federal continuing education requirements
Experience in triage, vital signs assessment, prescription refills, and prior authorization processes is preferred

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN education/diploma)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in taking and interpreting vital signs
Skilled in telephone triage and patient communication
Knowledgeable about prescription refill workflows and prior authorization procedures
Comfortable providing direction to CNAs and coordinating with schedulers
Strong teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Familiarity with clinic workflows and documentation standards
