Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts; specific start/end times and days to be confirmed with hiring manager

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with ADLs like bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and their families to ensure exceptional resident experience
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to follow care plans and meet resident needs
Document care activities promptly and accurately in resident charts

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Connecticut
Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient care
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of infection control and resident safety practices
Ability to take and record vital signs and observe changes in condition
Basic charting and documentation skills
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
