Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Document care and observations clearly and timely in the patient record
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to support patient-centered goals

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential appropriate for Georgia
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred; obtain or maintain as required by facility
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Reliable transportation and ability to arrive for scheduled per diem shifts
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Basic infection prevention and control practices
• Clear documentation and reporting skills
• Teamwork, time management, and adaptability in fast-paced settings
• Compassionate patient interaction and strong bedside manner
