Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and support daily living activities
Assist patients with bathing, grooming, toileting and mobility
Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
Document care and observations clearly and promptly in the patient record
Support licensed nurses with treatments and safe patient transfers
Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for patients
Communicate effectively with patients, families and the care team to enhance outcomes

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
High school diploma or GED preferred
Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong teamwork skills

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant (state certification) required

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
Infection control and safety procedures
Patient lifting and safe transfer techniques
Clear, empathetic communication with patients and coworkers
Basic charting and comfort with electronic health records
