Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on each shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Document patient care and progress clearly in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families to support safe discharge and recovery
• Support quality improvement and infection control practices to keep patients safe

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license (RN or LPN) — New Mexico licensure preferred or able to obtain
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Previous acute care or relevant clinical experience preferred
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma; BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Safe medication administration and IV/infusion familiarity
• Proficient documentation in electronic health records
• Skilled in care coordination and discharge planning
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safety protocols
• Strong interpersonal skills and patient education ability
