Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with accuracy and compassion
• Position patients and imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate radiography systems and follow imaging protocols to ensure consistency
• Maintain patient safety and comfort while practicing radiation safety principles
• Assess image quality and repeat procedures when clinically necessary
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with technologists, radiologists, and clinical staff to provide excellent patient care
• Assist with basic equipment troubleshooting and upkeep to support smooth operations

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (or registry-eligible candidates considered)
• Valid Louisiana radiologic technologist license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working with diverse patient populations and providing patient-centered care
• Demonstrated ability to follow imaging protocols and maintain attention to detail
• Reliable, professional, and able to communicate effectively with patients and team members

Education

• Graduated from an accredited radiologic technologist program (Associate degree or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
• Radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Image quality assessment and modifications
• Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical records
• Patient handling and infection control practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic equipment operation and troubleshooting
