Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality medical-surgical and pediatric nursing care to patients
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and aftercare
Maintain accurate and timely patient records in the electronic medical record
Participate actively in orientation and ongoing training to maintain skills

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or eligibility to obtain one
Clinical experience or strong interest in medical-surgical and pediatric nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; PALS or pediatric certifications preferred
Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team and advocating for patients
Ability to pass required background checks and onboarding screenings

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Relevant clinical certifications (BLS required; PALS preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Assessment and monitoring skills for both pediatric and med/surg patients
Medication administration and safe IV/infusion practices
Familiarity with infection control, safety protocols, and patient advocacy
Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
Proficiency or willingness to learn electronic medical record systems
