Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift (specific start/end times and days to be confirmed) — facility operates in Eastern Time

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $36 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents consistent with care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor residents’ conditions and communicate changes promptly to the care team
Document care activities and resident responses in a timely, accurate manner
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to support holistic care
Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain facility standards

Qualifications

Current LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — Connecticut licensure strongly preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

LPN diploma or certificate from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of medication administration and nursing procedures
Comfortable with resident assessment and documentation
Ability to follow care plans and apply clinical judgment
Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Familiarity with basic electronic charting or readiness to learn
