Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and compassion
Provide safe, timely patient transfers and mobility assistance
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
Perform routine patient care tasks and maintain a clean, safe environment
Accurately document care and observations in the patient record
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (required)
Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain it
Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar patient-care setting is a plus
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or must obtain upon hire if required by facility
Strong communication skills and a caring, team-oriented attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
Basic vital signs measurement and patient observation
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Infection control practices and adherence to facility protocols
Clear, accurate documentation and effective communication with the team
Empathy, patience, and a focus on patient dignity
