Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, observing and reporting changes in condition promptly
• Assist nurses with treatments and follow care plans accurately and respectfully
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
• Document patient care thoroughly and communicate clearly with the care team
• Support mobility and positioning, including safe transfers and turning
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through kindness and professionalism

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Pennsylvania) or eligibility to obtain state certification
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations as required by facility policy
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a team
• Dependable, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient care basics and ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
• Proficient in taking/recording vital signs and recognizing changes in condition
• Understanding of infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Familiarity with charting and basic electronic health record entry
• Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nursing staff
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to de-escalate and comfort residents
