Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning to promote comfort and mobility
Support hygiene, feeding, and toileting needs while preserving dignity
Accurately document care and observations in the patient record
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver quality care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — state certification required or in hand
BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Prior experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus
Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
Reliable transportation to the Columbus, GA facility

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care skills including bathing, feeding, and ambulation assistance
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety
Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn EHR systems
Teamwork, time management, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment
