Shift Type: Rotating nights, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; schedule varies and includes 3-4 weekend shifts per schedule (no on-call)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based postpartum and mother/baby nursing care
- Monitor and assess newborns and postpartum mothers, including blood sugar checks and phototherapy management
- Administer and manage IV antibiotics and other ordered treatments safely
- Support and educate new parents on lactation and newborn care, empowering family-centered outcomes
- Document care accurately and promptly in the EMR (CPN)
- Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care
- Serve as a resource nurse when needed to support unit flow and staff
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 1 year of clinical experience (Mother/Baby experience required)
- NRP and BLS certifications (required)
- Comfortable with postpartum/mother-baby care, phototherapy, blood glucose monitoring, and IV antibiotic administration
- Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a team-player approach
- Ability to document accurately in EMR (CPN) and work within established patient ratios (e.g., 1:3 couplets)
Knowledge & Skills
- Mother/Baby and postpartum clinical skills and best practices
- Lactation support fundamentals and parent education techniques
- Newborn care procedures including phototherapy and blood sugar checks
- Familiarity with NICU/postpartum crossover care (preferred)
- Proficiency with EMR documentation (CPN)
- Critical thinking, triage, and collaboration in a busy unit
