Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts (scheduled across Mon–Sun as needed), 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; every other weekend required (day shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality PCU/step-down nursing care for telemetry patients with skill and compassion
- Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and intervene quickly and appropriately
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, CNAs and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Support unit flow by floating to ED hold area or inpatient units as needed
- Advocate for patient comfort, safety and experience while following unit policies and best practices
Qualifications
- Active RN license (ability to practice in North Carolina or compact-state eligibility preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute inpatient/telemetry or step-down nursing experience
- Telemetry competency is required — demonstrated comfort monitoring and interpreting cardiac telemetry
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Charge experience is a plus and will be considered favorably
- Experience using Cerner EMR preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac assessment skills
- Experience with inpatient medical/step-down clinical procedures
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record workflows
- Ability to work in a team, prioritize, and manage patient ratios (typical 1:5 or 1:6 stretch)
- Good communication, documentation and critical thinking skills
