Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures with precision and care
- Execute angiography and peripheral angioplasty (with or without stent placement) supporting the interventional team
- Assist with venography and pacemaker insertions, ensuring patient safety and sterile technique
- Support a variety of non-vascular interventional procedures across inpatient and one-day outpatient settings
- Monitor hemodynamics and patient status throughout procedures and communicate changes promptly
- Document procedures and patient information accurately using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to deliver coordinated, high-quality cardiovascular care
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience (required)
- ARRT certification (or RCIS accepted) — documentation required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- Cardiac experience preferred; IR (interventional radiology) experience a plus
- Comfortable using Cerner EMR and documenting procedural details
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered approach
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac catheterization techniques and procedural workflow
- Angiography and peripheral angioplasty principles
- Venography and pacemaker insertion procedures
- Non-vascular interventional procedure support
- Proficient with Cerner electronic medical record
- Aseptic technique, patient monitoring, and hemodynamic assessment
- Ability to respond calmly in acute situations and communicate effectively with clinical team
