Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Take and record vital signs and report meaningful changes to the nursing team.
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, helping residents maintain dignity and independence.
• Document resident care accurately and promptly, keeping charts up to date.
• Communicate clearly with nurses, therapists, residents and families to support coordinated care.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and colleagues.
• Support a positive, resident-centered environment through respectful and kind interactions.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements (immunizations/TB screening)
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic resident care
• Knowledge of vital sign measurement and documentation practices
• Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
• Basic charting and record-keeping skills; ability to follow care plans
• Good time management, attention to detail, and compassionate bedside manner
