Location: Fort Worth, TX

Shift Type: Days to be confirmed, 12:30 PM - 5:30 PM Day shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Dispense and verify medications accurately and safely for patients and facilities
Provide emergency coverage support when the situation calls for quick, expert action
Review medication orders for appropriateness, interactions, and dosing
Counsel patients and facility staff on proper medication use and safety considerations
Maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and facility policies
Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes and support patient care

Qualifications

Active RPh designation (Class: RPh) — required
Licensed Pharmacist in good standing as required for the assignment
Professional, patient-focused attitude with strong communication skills
Previous pharmacy experience preferred; experience providing coverage or working in fast-paced settings a plus
Willingness to work the assigned shift and provide coverage as needed

Education

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree preferred
Appropriate state licensure and certifications as required

Knowledge & Skills

Thorough knowledge of medication safety, dosing, and administration
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing
Effective communication for patient counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration
Comfort using pharmacy workflows and electronic medication records
Ability to adapt quickly during emergency coverage situations
