Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care for residents, supporting activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility with dignity and respect
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Take and document vital signs and routine observations accurately
- Maintain safe, clean care environments and follow infection control protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; T-CNA accepted where applicable
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (Thursday-Saturday) and meet a 13-week travel assignment
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
- Willingness to pass background checks and any facility onboarding requirements
- Previous long-term care or rehab experience is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA program and current CNA certification (New Mexico)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong resident-centered care and safe transfer/lift techniques
- Comfortable performing ADLs and assisting with mobility
- Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation skills
- Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and team
- Team-oriented mindset with ability to follow care plans and take direction
