Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) while preserving patient dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and changes in condition accurately
• Document care in the electronic medical record promptly and clearly
• Support safe transfers, ambulation, and use of mobility aids
• Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to execute care plans
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment for patients
• Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and staff to promote positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Valid state CNA license or ability to obtain New Mexico authorization as needed
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Comfort and experience working overnight shifts and in fast-paced care environments
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and safe patient handling
• Vital sign collection and basic clinical observation
• ADL assistance and personal care techniques
• Basic charting and documentation best practices
• Infection prevention and safety protocols
• Team communication and time management during overnight shifts
