Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support nursing staff by taking vital signs, documenting observations, and reporting changes
- Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and dignity
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments following infection control best practices
- Build trusting relationships with patients and families through clear, respectful communication
- Help with feeding, personal hygiene, and basic wound care under RN direction
- Document care accurately and timely in patient charts to ensure continuity
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (state-certified) or eligible to obtain state certification
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable passing a background check and meeting facility immunization requirements
- Demonstrated compassion, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset
- Ability to safely lift and assist patients with mobility needs
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care fundamentals and infection control practices
- Basic vital signs monitoring and documentation skills
- Familiarity with ADL assistance and safe patient handling
- Good communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Attention to detail and ability to follow care plans and physician directions
