Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support nursing staff by taking vital signs, documenting observations, and reporting changes
• Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and dignity
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments following infection control best practices
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through clear, respectful communication
• Help with feeding, personal hygiene, and basic wound care under RN direction
• Document care accurately and timely in patient charts to ensure continuity

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (state-certified) or eligible to obtain state certification
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable passing a background check and meeting facility immunization requirements
• Demonstrated compassion, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset
• Ability to safely lift and assist patients with mobility needs

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care fundamentals and infection control practices
• Basic vital signs monitoring and documentation skills
• Familiarity with ADL assistance and safe patient handling
• Good communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Attention to detail and ability to follow care plans and physician directions
