Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to promote patient comfort and dignity
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation and feeding as needed
• Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, following proper body mechanics and lift protocols
• Document patient interactions and care accurately in the chart to ensure continuity
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent, person-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for patients and their families

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain one
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and assisting with physical patient needs
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and procedures for adult patients
• Skilled in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Basic charting/documentation skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow care plans and report changes in patient condition
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective interpersonal skills
