Shift Type: 4 days/week, variable start between 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM (10-hour shifts; end times between 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM), day shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for orthopedic and robotic procedures, ensuring sterile technique and instrument readiness
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, anticipating needs, and maintaining a sterile field
- Set up and troubleshoot robotic equipment in collaboration with the surgical team
- Perform instrument counts and documentation to support patient safety and regulatory compliance
- Follow Trinity specialty competency and checklist processes to maintain high-quality care
- Verify and maintain required licenses and certifications and support timely competency testing
- Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists and surgeons to deliver efficient, patient-centered perioperative care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- BLS certification required
- Experience in orthopedic surgery and comfort with OR robotic systems preferred
- Current license and ability to complete License/Certificate Verification
- Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity Specialty Competency Testing as required
- Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings per facility policy (COVID-19, Tdap, MMR, Hep B, influenza, TB screening, fit test, drug screen)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong sterile technique and OR protocol knowledge
- Familiarity with robotic surgical workflows and instrument sets
- Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical cases
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in the perioperative environment
- Attention to detail for instrument counts, documentation and safety checks
- Adaptability to variable start times and changing OR schedules
