Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe and respectful mobility assistance and transfers for residents
- Collaborate with nurses and care team to follow care plans and ensure continuity
- Maintain accurate documentation and charting to keep resident records up to date
- Practice infection control and safety procedures to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
- T-CNA credential accepted (as listed in the posting)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and provide dependable, patient-centered care
- Clear background check and required immunizations as per facility policy
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in ADLs (bathing, grooming, feeding) and mobility assistance
- Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and basic observations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for working with interdisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of infection prevention, resident safety, and patient dignity practices
- Comfortable with charting and following established care plans
