Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift), 32 hours/week, No weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $31 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and support patients with personalized occupational therapy interventions that improve daily living skills
- Develop and implement goal-driven treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Deliver therapeutic activities and modalities that promote independence and function
- Document progress clearly and timely in the patient record to ensure seamless care
- Educate patients and families on strategies and adaptive techniques for home and community
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain therapy equipment and a safe, therapeutic environment
Qualifications
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
- Eligible for or current licensure in New Mexico as an OTA
- Completion of an accredited OTA program (associate degree typically required)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered mindset
- Previous experience in post-acute, long-term care, or skilled nursing settings preferred
Education
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (or equivalent)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in ADL assessment and adaptive equipment recommendations
- Knowledge of therapeutic activity planning and progressive treatment techniques
- Proficient documentation and care planning skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
- Good time management, clinical reasoning, and patient education skills
- Commitment to patient safety, dignity, and outcome-driven care
