Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day), 35 hours/week, No weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $31 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on occupational therapy support under the direction of the OTR to help patients regain independence
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans and therapeutic activities focused on activities of daily living
- Document patient progress accurately and timely to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on techniques, adaptive equipment, and home programs to promote functional gains
- Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe, organized treatment environment
- Participate in quality improvement and program development to enhance patient services
Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
- Active New Mexico licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or equivalent program completion
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a team-first mindset
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility immunization requirements
Education
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in implementing therapeutic activities for ADLs and IADLs
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive technology for functional independence
- Proficient documentation skills and familiarity with clinical charting best practices
- Ability to perform patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Comfort working with varied patient populations in a rehabilitation setting
- Strong collaboration skills for working with OTRs, nurses, and other care team members
