Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Perform routine vital signs, reporting changes to the nurse in charge
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling following facility protocols
• Support residents with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and toileting with dignity
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and effectively communicate with the care team
• Adhere to infection control and safety procedures to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) or T-CNA recognized
• Active/state-appropriate certification for New Mexico or ability to obtain prior to start
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Comfort with 12-hour night shifts and working weekends as scheduled
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; resident-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic resident care and ADLs (activities of daily living)
• Skill with taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Understanding of infection control, standard precautions, and safe patient handling
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents, families, and clinical staff
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care environment
