Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility support, and fall prevention
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
- Support infection control, sanitation, and safe care practices
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a respectful, resident-centered environment
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
- Active state registry status or ability to register in New Mexico
- Comfortable with 12.5-hour day shifts and working Wed–Fri
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program; high school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
- Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observation
- Infection control and safe patient handling
- Clear and timely documentation skills
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
