Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
- Support safe transfers, mobility, and proper positioning to promote resident comfort
- Assist with meal service and feeding as needed while respecting dietary plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep residents safe
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; T-CNA or travel CNA experience a plus
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by the facility
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Comfortable working night shift hours and providing hands-on care
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic patient care and activities of daily living
- Reliable documentation and communication skills with clinical teams
- Understanding of infection control and resident safety practices
- Able to assist with mobility, transfers, and use of basic patient equipment
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong observation skills
