Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Perform safe transfers and mobility assistance while promoting patient dignity
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with meal service and feeding, respecting dietary needs and preferences
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and vital observations
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused environment to enhance resident quality of life
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in the state of practice or eligibility to obtain one
- T-CNA certification as listed in the job posting where required
- CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
- Travel CNA experience is a plus but not required
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in ADLs, bathing, grooming, and toileting assistance
- Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
- Comfortable with routine documentation and charting
- Ability to work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary teams
- Time management and prioritization during busy shift periods
