Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Support safe mobility and transfers while promoting patient independence
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the care team
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and staff
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful living environment
- Respond promptly to resident needs and participate in emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in New Mexico
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working 12.5-hour night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
- Clear background check and ability to pass required facility screenings
- Reliable, compassionate, and a strong team player; experience preferred but new CNAs are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of basic patient care and infection control practices
- Familiarity with proper lifting and transfer techniques
- Good charting and observational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and escalate concerns appropriately
