Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, including bathing, dressing and mobility assistance
• Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with meals and feeding, ensuring dignity and comfort for every resident
• Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics
• Document care activities accurately in facility records
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification/license for New Mexico (or compact/state-appropriate) required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
• Previous long-term care or assisted living experience preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills such as vital signs, ADL assistance and infection control
• Safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Familiarity with charting and documentation best practices
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow care plans
• Time management and prioritization in a busy care environment
