Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility needs
- Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable patient environments
- Support residents with meals and hydration, respecting dietary needs
- Communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team and document care accurately
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
- Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
- Comfortable working 12.5-hour day shifts (6:00 AM to 6:30 PM) on scheduled days
- Dependable, team-oriented, with strong patient-centered instincts
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven ability to assist with ADLs and personal care respectfully
- Competence in taking and documenting vital signs
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with residents and staff
- Time management skills for busy shift work and accurate charting
